Sharon Smallwood is a freelance photo-journalist specialising in boating, lifestyle and travel. Sharon's entertaining, well informed and photographically illustrated works have graced the pages of a variety of glossy magazines. Over the past five years Sharon's print portfolio has included regular contributions to marine and lifestyle publications including: Cruising Helmsman (Australia), Go Boating (Australia) and Practical Boat Owner (UK).
Sharon recently completed a stint as a full-time employee with Queensland based 'Coastline Newspaper Group', contributing to the widely distributed Tourist Queensland, Coalfields Express, Coastline & Country and Bundy Book.
A modern sea-gypsy who has sailed from Thailand to Sydney and halfway back, Sharon boasts first-hand knowledge of a wide range of destinations and associated practical topics.
Sharon is currently expanding into the worldwide web, with travel and lifestyle articles for Suite 101, a regular blog on the Yaffa Publishing website mysailing.com.au (called 'Sailing with the Smallwoods') and a personal blog on shazatsea.blogspot.com.
